Properties
5a02 aluminum sheet (Al-Mg) is an anti-rust aluminum alloy which cannot be heat treated. The magnesium content is low, but it has high plasticity and formability. Its strength can be improved by cold deformation. 5a02 has good corrosion resistance, so it is suitable for using in the environment of marine. The welding property is good and the machinability can be improved during semi-cold hard state.

Applications
5a02 aluminum alloy is suitable for the applications with higher degree of plasticity processing requirements and good corrosion resistance of welded structures and containers, such as tanks, gasoline and lubricating oil conduits, nails, flanges and some parts, ships, vehicles interior trim light load, and so on, wire used for rivets or welding rod.
