Properties
5a05 aluminum sheet (Al-Mg)is an anti-rust aluminum alloy which cannot be heat treated, but its strength can be improved by cold deformation. It has a higher plasticity in the state of annealing, and it is better than the temper of semi-cold hardening. 5a05 has good corrosion resistance and weldability. It is applicable for welding, atomic hydrogen welding, oxyacetylene welding and argon arc welding. It has good machinability after semi-cold hardening.

Applications
5a05 aluminum alloy typically used in the manufacturing process which requires high ductility, good corrosion resistance to withstand medium load of welded pipes, welded tanks and other liquid containers, as well as other parts. Wire of 5A05 aluminum usually used for welding and rivets, while rivet needs to be anodized. 5a05 is widely used in the production of armor plates, high-strength structural parts, such as storage tanks, pressure vessels, and marine parts and other supplies.
